Manzanita, Oregon

August 29th, 2024

After an adventurous day driving from Seattle to Manzanita, I had snuck to the beach around 11pm to snap the night sky. These are a few favorites I captured that night.

High Rock Lookout, WA

On the night of my 24th birthday, a friend and I went out to High Rock Lookout to spend the night and catch the sunrise. We waited until about 10pm to leave the tent, and after setting up the tripod, I was ecstatic to see what my camera revealed.

While working for SVP, I was assigned to go on a photoshoot camping trip for the company called NoCo Glamping. I invited a few of my friends to come out with me to camp. After taking stills for NoCo Glamping, I returned to my campsite and wanted to play around with long exposure. This photo (4) captures the Colorado sky around 10:20 pm, along with a light streak that I made with my headlamp.

This shot was taken on my solo road trip from Washington to Colorado. I camped right outside the east entrance of the National Park and waited until the stars appeared. This was my favorite shot I captured that night, as well as signifying my first time ever successfully capturing the Milky Way.

Yosemite National Park, CA

Crested Butte, CO

While camping with a group of friends, my partner and I found a perfect spot to hang the hammock. Around 11pm, we hiked back to the hammock so I could practice taking pictures of the stars. After a few trial-and-errors, I impulsively decided to add a little light-art to the picture as well <3

One of my earlier shots, shot over Lake Granby, Colorado on a peaceful June evening.
